You can certainly use it on a non full frame camera but it would not be as wide a field of view as say a 10-22mm lens @ 10mm. The 14mm lens (depending on Nikon or Canon) on a non full frame camera would give you the same as about 21-23mm. To get the same field of view on a crop camera you would need a lens in the 9mm range.
