I'll kick it off this month.
We went up to O'Reilly's Guest-house on the weekend, and parked on their front lawn was a replica of the Stinson tri-motor that crashed in the McPherson Range in 1937. This is a reconstruction of the aircraft and was used in the tele-movie "Riddle of the Stinson". This year is the 75th anniversary of the crash in which only Joe Binstead and John Proud (Prouds Jewellers) survived. John Westray initially survived but died later falling down a cliff trying to go for help.
