BOSS Supernova 37
Well, what can I say..Congratulations again Stu!!!
He has managed to find no less than 3 new supernovae in 7 days!! I just can't believe how he does it? This is number 29 for him.
His latest discovery is in NGC7531, it's at a relatively bright magnitude 14.7 in very pretty spiral galaxy in Grus.
At this stage, I have measured the position and brightness, and lodged a report on the CBAT Transient Object Page, so once again, we are in the nail biting period while we wait for confirmation by a spectrum.
Hopefully, this is a relatively close and bright one, so it should be picked up by the professionals and confirmed for us.
Now the wait...will keep you informed...
