Given that Tevatron has announced that they have seen evidence of the Higgs in the same search region as the LHC between the masses of 115 and 135 GeV I'd say it's a well timed announcement.
It's not like scientists are very competetive.
Still Fermilab/Tevatrons announcement was as close as they could get without confirmation which really backs up the December announcement made by CERN.

So I'm going to guess that they will claim evidence that "A" Boson most likely the Higgs has been found to exist but further research is needed too confirm it is the Higgs.

Ahhhh.... nothing like a good cup of speculation in the morning.
