Chris - It's a full frame image... I don't remember cropping much/any of it. You made me curious so I dug it up... is
this the image you're referring to?
The fields of view for both lenses are quite similar - 10-22 has a 107 degree diagonal field of view vs the 14 mm's 114 degrees. I see that your image didn't include Crux, whereas mine is cropped at Lamb Cent Neb... but yours includes slightly more of the Milky Way on the other side.
