OK I don't have skyscan.

But for Argonavis and Autostar I use Canopus and Betelgeuse at the mo because they are so obvious. In reality they are a tad close in RA, but I've been getting good results. The ideal is about 60 degrees sepatation in both axes and not too near the pole, so Canopus - Regulus may be the optimum at this time of year.
