I rang the adjacent resident this morning and spoke to the wife (forgot to ask her first name).
She was quite friendly and referred to us as the "star people". I like that
.
She said that the driveway/track is their driveway on their land and there is no legal right for anyone else to use it without their permission.
So sorry Allan there is no question of Crown Land here.
When I asked about the side gate she said the they do the grass slashing of the PC field and they use that gate to gain access.
They do not have a key for the main PC entrance.
When I asked about PC horse riders using the gate and their driveway to gain access she became a bit vague and mentioned another gate further into the property presumably on the PC side of the fence.
Unfortunately I could not follow her description of where it was located. Looking at the Google photo though it is logical that there might be another gate at the rear of the property where Ikara road comes to an end and a track into the PC starts. Perhaps this is the fabled gate/track everyone has heard about. However she also said that this gate was locked and the PC had the key.
I have arranged to ring her husband Peter tomorrow to get a bit more info.
Turns out he is the chap who chased me down the road. Should be interesting.
