My First Solar

I bought an Orion Glass filter to fit my ED127 in anticipation of the big event. I managed to get in some practice today but it does not look good for tomorrow. I just have to hope for a small gap in the clouds at an appropriate time. I'll be sitting out under the patio in anticipation!!!

Anyway this is my first ever solar pic. Taken with the ED127, Orion glass filter, Canon 1000D driven by Backyard EOS in planetary mode.

It's been ages since I used registrax and I seem to have forgotton a bit. But here is 770 frames, and I have included a colour and BW image with microcontrast which seems to pick out a bit more detail. At this resolution its a bit pixely for my liking and the 1000D can only capture at 15 fps.

Comments and advice most welcome.

Thanks for looking

Paul
