Wink Internet Resources: Astronomy

If you want to expand your knowledge of all matters astonomical, try some of the amazing websites that allow easy access to a wealthy of astronomical information.

absoluteastronomy.com is an easy beginners level resource, allowing you to find out quite detailed information about any constellation, Messier object etc that you may be interested in. Links are provided to other sites with even more detailed information, to a level that is beyond most amateurs.

One link often recommended is the Simbad site, which, from the looks, is mainly accessed by professional astronomers. Simbad will allow you access to recent scientific papers on the object you are interested in.

When the clouds set in, there is still a lot of good exploration that can be achieved!

Has anyone else found any great internet sites recently? My "favourites" folder for astronomy is bulging, but I can probably squeeze one or two more ones in!
