Plan B...
The weather forecast isn't looking good here but the forecast for, say just north of the ACT isn't looking too bad from Skippysky's transparency map, so I've just made a solar filter for the 300mm lens on the E510.
I might have to go for a little ride on GS, and take a tripod. No Ha shots for me
