I shall be watching the weather forecasts and cloud charts with increasing interest, as will everyone else, from now on till Tuesday evening and if the coast looks like being clouded out then I'll be packing the car and heading inland as far as needed to get a clear view.
Had a good view of the 2004 transit from the hills behind Wollongong but wont be taking any chances this time round. I missed the Leonids display that Gary mentioned by being stuck on the coast, also had 2 very young kids at home and a partner who was struggling a bit, but a few fellow club members chased the gaps in the clouds until past Orange where they watched the display from a roadside among the paddocks. Have slightly regreted that missed light show ever since.
