Haha Bo! Not to butt in but yup, the 80ED Gold came out in the 2000s
It has exactly the same optics as the black diamonds that cost *alot* more. I bought a new 80ED Pro (Gold), and it is an excellent scope. Infact its probably the most used scope I have, very little if no CA even on bright objects like the moon and does exceptionally well for astrophotography too (If you decide to get into it)
Well worth its weight!
