Jupiter & Saturn 25th from tassie

What a night.

Started out with horrible twinkling for stars at 11pm, got up at 1.30pm and it was 5 or 6/10, so took a couple vids of saturn. got back up at 4.30am and watch it evolve from say 6/10 to 8 or 9/10. Did not want to move, breathe or do anything to make the seeing conditions change.

temps were stable at 7.5 degrees. I have taken video at 10fps, 15fps and 5fps and then because on the screen, it looked like 8 out of 10 frames were steady, i jumped into raw mode and then stood there breathless looking at the improvement on the screen. Io had transitted, but was still visible at the gain / exposure settings.

Well, i have lotsa video to process. Here are a 320x240 saturn, a 320x240 at a couple of wavelets settings jupiter and the first of the 640x480 at a couple of wavelets settings. they have all been run through registax to get a feel for the night. The seeing improved after these. you can see IO in the 640 x 480 at about 10 oclock

Joy Joy Joy. My best best catches
