Is your .5 reducer a 1 1/4" cell? If you can space it a little bit further from the camera you should get the full disc in the frame if that's the case. Try throwing it in the end of an old barlow or some thing
. (I have about half a dozen 25mm spacers for pushing the staranalyser and 0.5 reducer around trying to optimise resolution).
