This is a great website. I came across it a couple of years ago (sometimes I give this link to beginners as well).
I was a little disappointed with this binocular tutorial- I thought he could have done a lot more there.
I have the movie "Seeing in the Dark" by Timothy Ferris- I was able to get my hands on it after much seeking out- it's not available here in Australia though (can be bought I think on his website? and definitely sold at the PBS online store). His voice and accent... wow, I can listen to it for ever!
