Eta Carinae widefield

Thought i'd have a go at a wide field shot of NGC3372.

This is 57 x 4min subs @ ISO800 using a modded 400D and a Nikon 200mm f4 AI prime lens @ f4 (plus darks, flats and dark flats)

Stacked in DSS and curves in Darktable

not quite as much of a wow factor as I would have expected from such a long exposure. I used median kappa-sigma stacking. would a different method (eg auto adaptive weighted average) produce a better result. Or is it just that I need to tweak the levels and curves a bit more?
