I'm a dyslexic agnostic insomniac - I was up all last night wondering if there was a dog.
Trouble with growing up in Liverpool in the 60's was that you were immersed in the stuff and if you didn't like it, you were on the outer.
Even now if I say oh I'm from Liverpool, the answer is usually, 'oh where the Beatles came from' - and even more usually it's an American- who has little idea of the Geography of anywhere outside his home state.
A lot of peripheral groups like Freddie and the Dreamers and Swinging Blue Jeans and Baron Knights lived within a few miles of me, I'd see them on the bus on the way into town.(Before they got mildly famous) Freddie Garretty was the local swimming bath attendant!
You don't have to like your neighbours. I preferred theEverly Brothers.
