This is a very interesting and popular target of the southern skies that to me is often not properly considered by deep sky imagers. I wanted to try to render it in particular going deep in Ha, to reveal some very faint emission nebulae of the area I noticed during the preparation of my last year
wide field mosaic.
Here is the result of my efforts:
Southern Pleiades
I am quite happy with the result, it is an unusual view of this beautiful cluster and the Ha addition to me improve the overall look.
About 18 hours of total exposure, mostly in Ha.
