Right now, the Orion Nebula, is my favorite part of the sky. With trees one side, roofing the other, I have very limited viewing, and with work commitments, I can't afford to wait for the world to turn.

At the moment, Orion is in just the right position for me to view at around 21:00 AESDT.

A nice introduction to astronomy. I was really blown away by the sight of the "trapezium", and reading that these particular stars were probably born from the gas cloud only a few years ago in astro terms.

First time I sited Orions Nebula, I thought, what the hell, theres some fog or something on my scope - we learn

Totally blew me away - the Crab Nebula is next .

ciao
