Venus Apr 08 - IR & UV (+ improved image)
Here's a Venus in synthetic colour assembled from IR, G, and UV channels taken around 6pm this evening.
High level seeing was OK, but the low level atmosphere was quite wobbly. There was some banding visible in the UV live feed, which translated to some detail in the final stack. Transparency was poor, as Venus is so low in the sky, even this early in the evening. I was down to 45% histogram at 15 fps in UV.
C11 + Custom Scientific IR & UV, Orion G filters + Televue 3x Barlow + DMK21AU04.AS camera.
