Looks like reasonable data Peter, I have no experience with colour cameras, well other than my old ToUcam, so am not up with processing that sort of data. As far as limiting the number of frames to stack I think Emil's most excellent AutoStakkert 2 does a pretty good job, If you go that way you also need to run your data through Castrator first.
I would encourage you to record on paper everything you do everything you try with your processing and capture regimes. Experience is a great teacher, even trying things that don't work is a lesson learned.
