I have just heard from one of Warren Sayer's sons that Warren passed away peacefully this morning at 4am in Ballina hospital.
I have just rang his wife Janette and passed on condolences, she will let me know when and where his funeral will be held which I will note here.
I am sure those who knew Warren even many who didn't will be saddened at his passing. We have indeed lost an amateur astronomer who was incredibly passionate about this wonderful hobby.
