I am surprised you have flexure with a relatively light STL11. Is this a 106ED? Have you tightened the focuser screws underneath and locked off the captain's wheel? Scew on type adapters?

Also the focuser lock lever needs to be partially engaged if doing manual focusing as it shifts focus when engaged otherwise.

I suppose it's not as picturesque as some but at least that little red nebula adds something.

I'm actually using the 11K with the FW8 filter wheel which adds a fair bit of weight. Also I think we are talking about two different FSQs. This one doesn't have a captain's wheel. I think I've managed to tighten everything up now. Part of the problem was having to find a .035" Allen key.

Thanks Trevor. Wide fields have their place but you need to have some interesting targets in the FOV I guess.
