Under the feet of the chicken

Hi all, under the feet of the running chicken I found a very elusive object I would like to post here. It is an extremely faint supernova remnant discovered around 10 years ago during the UK HII survey at Siding Spring. To be precise, it *should be* a supernova remnant since an official explanation of the object nature is still missing . To be able to show something I had to push the Ha exposure as long as possible, this time collecting almost 20 hours of light through this filter alone. Despite that these faint filaments are barely visible over an area of about a square degree

This is not what one would call his best image, never the less it was fun try to go there where no amateur has gone before
Many thanks to Sakib Rasool (http://www.starsurfin.com/) for having suggested be this extremely challenging object

Other details available on the picture

Clear Skies
