There is a temptation in this hobby to aquire more stuff than you realisticly need ( I'm guilty of that
) be it your 20th shiny eyepiece of latest piece of techno-wizardry. Just enjoy the sky and don't worry about what other people have or don't have. As starcrazzy said you will develop your own direction in Astronomy and that will dictate what you need and want.
