Hi Marty. That's the problem with the military, they have a habit of sending people into war zones.
I hope everything works out for him.
My son was going to join the air force and become a pilot (he was Dux at high school and 1st class honours at uni), but then changed his mind and became an engineer instead. I have to say, as a parent, I was a little relieved.
