It should be simple to set to 22 deg for Mackay by tilting it up to 22, if the bar was removed and reinstalled upside down, this would work....

Take a look at the manual, http://www.celestron.com/c3/images/f...1036manual.pdf

It mentions you simply loosen it and tilt it UP to the angle of your latitude, if the bar is upside down, then you have the problem shown....

If you assembled it and put the bar in, smack yourself upside the head.... if it was like that from the factory, then some numbnut there needs a smack in the head.....

I had a look to see if it was installed wrong but it will only go on the way it is. By the way it was installed when I got it so I am not the numbnut.
