I am sure that is what they mean. The only sensor which is colour that has rgb info in each pixel is the Foveon sensor which is featured in Sigma cameras.
They have a new sensor out which is effective 46mp as well. Its 15mp but each site reads rgb from different depths in the silicone chip.
No anti aliasing filter either. I believe low light performance is not so great and they seem to be noisy from what few images I have seen. High light images though are impressive. Sigma camera bodies are not in the same league as Canon or Nikon though.
