Peter it's a GSTAREX video camera which has whats called an occulting function which when applied blacks out the Solar disc so just the Prominences are visible . However if you increase the shutter speed you can see both surface detail(in negative) and prominences dimmed slightly(in positive). I used this feature with my Daystar 60mm Ha scope mainly for prominences but it wasn't till I used it on the 100mm Lunt with a 2.4 Extender combined with a 2x Barlow that I really got the live view I was looking for.
