Its not an imaging setup, but you can get great personal satisfaction from imaging with it. ( if you know what I mean )

Very interesting to know you can achieve that with a 12" DOB and a DSLR nevertheless!
You're right that it's necessary to state it's not a preferred imaging setup, but such great performance in capturing the brighter DSOs in color could be enough to enthuse many a school kid
(or maybe this 32 year old kid is just projecting...
)
