Luckily the majority of people at public viewing nights do appreciate what they are looking at.
Recently I was at Mt Coot-tha and a group of mildly drunk youth were more interested in using my scope to look at the Southbank Wheel than the night sky. It did not seem to matter that the view was upside down.
