It seems to me you believe your "rights are being infringed" by this requirement.
What about everyone else's "rights"?
The requirements are hardly onerous.
Most people involved in astronomy are fairly conservative. They are careful with whom they spend their money. Tells us a bit about yourself, because you haven't created a great impression with me thus far.
