Apple may have more apps, but most of these are trashy also. The business of overpopulating app markets by all platforms has caused a plethora of trashy software, including many paid apps both Apple and Android alike.
Stick with Skysafari Pro and you should get something very decent.
Sometimes these are discounted, so you may (or may not) want to wait.
