Your right Louie the flame needs some attention.
Bert the lens is attached to the CFW8 ( which attached to the ST8i )via a Mandel widefield adaptor plate , which replaces the front plate on the CFW8
It can also be attached directly to the camera via an Sbig nikon camera lens adaptor which would require changing filters manualy .
The distance from the front of the camera to the chip is 15mm the CFW8 adds 25mm to this.
The filters i use are a 6nm and 13nm pass Ha ( I also have the O111 and S11 but haven't used them much ) the 6nm needs a longer exposure to get a good signal , but then I would need to manualy guide , the idea of this set up was to have it unattended while I work the 10" or do some observing.
Will take some pics of the rig but its quite staight forward.
