Thanks guys, of course he just stopped it down
. I was not thinking too clearly when i penned the question, had a good lunch. I had wanted to buy a telephoto but had looked beyond the cheaper kit lenses because of bad reviews. However I really cannot afford a good Canon L series and after seeing Justin's photo it has convinced me to at least start my efforts with one of these.
