Thanks, I bought a retrofit and it arrived yesterday. Installation was pretty straighfoward and I like the HC a whole lot more. Easier to read and more intuitive. I've been fiddling a bit and it seems to work well enough but I had a couple of lock-ups during manual slews. I suspect I was moving to quickly from and East to West slew and the lock-up resolved after waiting a second or two.
Lack of documentation is a worry but Gemini-2.com is a good resource, as is the Yahoo group. Give it a month or so and I'll be a lot more comfortable.
Starting to play with the integration side of it now. I have to interface with The Sky X and Maxim DL., (bought the P.C. cable at the same time). New to all the ASCOM side of it all but I seem to be resolving issues easy enough.... so far..
I need a dome!
