JJJ thats what i once thought, (involving
bright comets conjunction) when viewing Comet
C/2001 Q4 (NEAT) ANZAC day 2004, naked eye 10d tail touching the LMC ... there was also a smaller comet that went close to SMC few years back some nice pics here of that one somewhere in here?, and of course
McNaught was in the frame plenty
