You'll probably find it's around the time the NextG network is busy in your area.
I have the same problem with my Network Gateway, I believe the newer Ultimate is even worse when there's congestion on the network. These wifi modems that Telstra/Bigpond use are absolute garbage, unfortunately we don't really have any options in our situation if we want coverage.
If you can get hold of one of the old toaster modems they are more reliable and will stay connected. The trade off with this though is they aren't wifi and they do not have the same d/load speed.
