I used an ED80 in the city with a LP filter for this image. I use a similar routine of masking and stretching as you outlined.

I suspect that there simply isnt any more dust to stretch out unfortunately - really requires larger aperature or sharper optics. The Camera seemed to compensate for this as much as possible though

The clipping is an issue in my routine somewhere. I am still trying to figure it out as it seems to be clipped simply after my stacking processes and not before. I need to continue to investage why I get clipping before I process the combined images.
