I'm with the others who say they pass on from hobbies and interests. My hobbies have been (and some still are).
Mororcycling including Motocross & Observed section Trails (My younger days)
4WD Off roading (Tassie used to be a great place for off road activity)
Snow Skiing (gave up when the tow queue's got too long)
Water Skiing (my back isn't strong enough anymore for this, but I still tow the kids around)
Scuba Diving (still got my gear)
R/C cars, Planes (I still have a Helicopter which hasn't flown...maybe this year!!.)
Electronics and computing (still dabble)
Surfing (briefly in my late teens, not much success then)
Windsurfing, & wave sailing (still got all my gear but haven't used it for 5 years but I will again). Oddly I was better at wavesailing than most of my old surfing mates.. almost identical skills, I guess I just didn't put in enough effort with the surfboard, once I had a sail and boom in my hands everything just clicked.
Sailing (small dinghys)
Snooker & Eightball (Got an old full sized table at home)
Woodwork & Metalwork (didn't get to do this at school but really enjoy working with my hands)
Fishing (incl fly fishing) & Boating (Still got the boat & regularly fish)
Astronomy (which I've always been interested in but only took up this year)
Photography (most of my good shots have been accidental....)
Flying (still have a full private pilots licence but sold my 1/3 share in a plane..far too expensive to maintain)
Table Tennis (HRH Liz & myself play regularly @ home.
I've never played competitive sports.
