Last post on this before I let them remove it. Thanks for all the interest. It is time to move on
I have had a huge amount of fun from this passion over many years. I have bought and sold, lost and won. I have travelled overseas with astronomy and camped in the most remote of places in this wonderful country with fellow astronomers. I have stared in disbelief at the eyepiece as the first signs of impact from Shoemaker-Levy 9 became visible, stood in the desert and felt tears rolling down my dust streaked face as I stared into a Solar eclipse. watched the Southern lights in awe from Heathcote. I have shouted louder than anyone at the MCG during a Grand Final as the first fireball rumbled across the sky in Alice Springs during the Leonid shower, seen both Venus and Mercury transit and I have stood with Astronomy friends in silent shock as we were informed of the destruction of Columbia a few hours after we watched it travel overhead.
To all those friends I have experienced this with, thank you
To those new to this, I hope you have as much fun as I have.
