Stu second SN discovery for December in NGC10
HI all,
just to keep you updated, Stu Parker discovered his second supernova for December in NGC10. He discovered it on December 22 at about 18th magnitude, so it is a faint one, and probably too faint for most visual observers unfortunately.
Hot off the press a few minutes ago, it's spectrum has just been analysed as a type II, with more details to come.
Well done once again Stu. That makes 23 for Stu, and 29 for the BOSS team.
This discovery in NGC10 precedes my own discovery of a possible supernova at about magnitude 15.5 in NGC1154 by 5 days on December 27, yet to be proven by a spectrum, so I will be keeping my fingers crossed. See the following thread for more details of this discovery as they come to hand...

Reason: added reference to NGC1154
