Humayun and I went to our favourite beach the other night in an attempt to capture comet Lovejoy, as seems the fashion. As we sat in our cave, evading the downpour outside, we almost resigned ourselves to the mission being indeed impossible.
What we didn't bank on was the truly spectacular light during sunrise only an hour later.
Here is Humayun standing on the beach in front of me, leaning over his new Mamiya medium format camera while the storm raged over the ocean. Not bad light, eh?
