I've had mixed success with the Rotate button in registax (mostly, not success). I found a much better program to use is called "Registar". Download it and play with it (free trial, but you can't save).. it's amazing at rotating and combining images. The best i've used.
You can always do a screenshot of the results (albeit, in a smaller size than the original) if you like what it does.. and then you can buy it I suppose, to be able to save the full size.
