Great image. Such great resolution.

Greg.
Greg, Ive always been impressed by the Sony chips and had a QHY8 previously (which I regretted selling almost as soon as it was gone). Most of us dont bother with darks but for the purists you should use them. The chips seem very forgiving for suburban light pollution as Ive done 15 min from home with no really serious problems. I just had time to get some light to test the scope/camera configuration before the clouds rolled in. Better imaging will only bring out the potential for this combination and setup.
The pixel size seems to be a good match for both refractors as well as the GSO RC and I must say that Theo gave me absolutely top service as it was in my hands the next day after ordering.
The jpegs don't do justice to the tif files as when processed they are going from a 78Mb file to ~100Kb but the detail certainly is there to be seen. These 10 Mega pixel cameras seem to hit a sweet spot for me.
