Before the clouds covered the Moon this morning (22nd Dec) I imaged an interesting looking feature (like a kite or manta ray) I had not noticed before (not that that is too hard as I'm not experienced in looking at the Moon!

Anyway, in a case of "shoot first, ask questions later" I found out after that it was Reiner Gamma. I remember reading about these swirls on the surface but didn't realise how prominent they were. Sorry for the image quality as seeing wasn't good, but I thought it was worth a post
