One night while observing about 60km East of Adelaide, it was quite a dark night and everything was sill. I was observing alone in a farmers paddock. About 2am all I heard was what sounded like a stampede of biblical proportions, which sounded like it was coming straight for me, scared the hell out of me. All of a sudden it stopped and it fell silent again. I plucked up courage and wandered over to where the sound was coming from, trying to make sense of the ground in front of me in the darkness. I reached a fence, then all of a sudden I had the huge dark figure move right up next to me from the other side of the fence. I then could make out it was about 6 Clydesdale horses, all HUGE! Chatted a while with them, and went back to observing....
