I use Macintosh with a GStar video camera, mostly for occultation work (with a bit of deep sky thrown in for sheer enjoyment).
AstroPlanner v2 (awesome app for finder charts, field of view, etc)
Nebulosity v2 for stacking galaxies.
Stellarium for working out what star I am looking at.
Equinox v6
iMovie to record video.
homegrown app to record individual images rather than video - makes it easier to use Neb to stack.
On the PC:-
Occult Watcher by Hristo Pavlov (looks at all the occultation feeds and lets you know when they are due in your viewing area). Indispensible.
Tangra (video reduction software to produce light curves - very slick)
LiMovie (another light curve maker - does OCR on video time stamps)
