Funny you should say that John, I had seriously considered this, it is abundantly clear that aperture and speed are a blessing, so even more aperture and the same speed is indeed attractive
the main thing is that I am concerned that the NJP, as fantastabulous a mount that it is, may be pushed just a bit too far with the 16" and all the rest of the paraphernalia on it
not mention that we are essentially broke at the moment
Also the Orion Optics Wynn is optimised for the 12"...although I am sure in practical terms this difference in spot sizes would be invisible, except perhaps under perfect seeing - which I will never get. You better wait for the OS 8" F3 first
