I've been thinking about this too, and it could be a good thing. If we all by our toys in the same week or two and put up with the clouds for a couple of weeks, the rest of the year should be nice and clear, cloudless nights.

Or do the cloud gods look at the total $ spent in a given week and have some formula eg. ever $ spent = x hrs could cover
